What is Therapy?

Therapy is a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings and experience without judgement.

It’s a place for you to slow down, reflect, and better understand yourself.

You do not need to be in a crisis to come to therapy. Many people come simply because they feel overwhelmed, stuck or ready for change.

  • In therapy we work together at your pace. You might:

    • Talk through what has been weighing on you

    • Explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions or relationships

    • Learn coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety or overwhelm

    • Build self-awareness, confidence, and emotional regulation skills

There is no “right” way to do therapy. It is a collaborative process, and we tailor it to what you need.

  • Therapy can support you with:

    • Anxiety & overthinking

    • Depression or sadness

    • Feeling overwhelmed or burnt out

    • Self-esteem & identity

    • Life transitions (including motherhood)

    • Stress, relationships, and day-to-day challenges

Even if you are not sure what is wrong, that is okay. We can figure it out together.

  • My role is to support, guild and walk alongside you. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can be yourself. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and a trauma-informed lens, while also recognizing that you are the expert in your own life.

  • Therapy is not about:

    • Being judged

    • Being told what to do

    • “Fixing” you

You are not broken. Therapy is about understanding, supporting, and empowering you.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it is completely normal to feel unsure.

If you are curious, I offer a free 15 minute in person or virtual meet & greet where we can connect and see if it feels like a good match.
