What is Therapy?
Therapy is a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings and experience without judgement.
It’s a place for you to slow down, reflect, and better understand yourself.
You do not need to be in a crisis to come to therapy. Many people come simply because they feel overwhelmed, stuck or ready for change.
-
In therapy we work together at your pace. You might:
Talk through what has been weighing on you
Explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions or relationships
Learn coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety or overwhelm
Build self-awareness, confidence, and emotional regulation skills
There is no “right” way to do therapy. It is a collaborative process, and we tailor it to what you need.
-
Therapy can support you with:
Anxiety & overthinking
Depression or sadness
Feeling overwhelmed or burnt out
Self-esteem & identity
Life transitions (including motherhood)
Stress, relationships, and day-to-day challenges
Even if you are not sure what is wrong, that is okay. We can figure it out together.
-
My role is to support, guild and walk alongside you. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can be yourself. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and a trauma-informed lens, while also recognizing that you are the expert in your own life.
-
Therapy is not about:
Being judged
Being told what to do
“Fixing” you
You are not broken. Therapy is about understanding, supporting, and empowering you.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it is completely normal to feel unsure.
If you are curious, I offer a free 15 minute in person or virtual meet & greet where we can connect and see if it feels like a good match.
